Facebook Recommendations Monitoring & Reporting

We’ve updated our Reputation Builder reports to include review monitoring for Facebook Recommendations. With the recent changes to Facebook from Reviews to Recommendations it’s important that you don’t miss out on valuable customer feedback and reputation data. Your reviews report will now show your new Facebook Recommendations with YES or No counts, and past star-rated reviews.

New Recommendations Character Minimum = Review Content Gold

Moving from reviews to recommendations has resulted in a few perks. One is the increase in review content Facebook requires users to leave.

The new Recommendations feature comes with a 25 character minimum, adding valuable feedback for your business, and your next customer. Gone are the days of clicking a star-rating and calling it quits, so your page now gains context and content with each recommendation.

The change from star reviews to a yes/no recommendation with details is intended to focus on overall customer experience, and feedback. Facebook promotes it as:

“Local business Pages have always been able to feature ratings and reviews on their Page, and now we are updating reviews to Recommendations. Customers can share richer feedback about your business to help you be more visible in your local community and attract more customers.”

Authorize the Reputation Builder to Get Access to Facebook Recommendations

It’s really easy to pull in Recommendations into your account, just Login to your account and go to the Authorization Settings, and Add your Facebook account/page with Reputation Builder, you will be prompted along the way, and then you’re done.

All of your past Facebook star-rating reviews will still be maintained in your Reputation Builder account (for as long as Facebook keeps them).

You Got This!

While this change was quite surprising, we’ve got you covered with the right features and tools to manage it and continue to connect with your customer’s experience. Don’t forget to take advantage of showcasing your customer feedback on your website as social with Review Widget and Conversion Pop-Up.
